Essentially a love story, Nicky Jones My Life In Poems, is a poetry book with a difference. It contains many short stories (the poems), within the whole story (the autobiography), and a poignant story within the story. At the age of eighteen/nineteen, Nicky gave birth to a baby girl who was given up for adoption. The book charts what happened at the time of her delivery and also her eventual reunion with her long lost daughter.
Using the poems as a tool, Nicky takes a warts-and-all look at the things that have happened in her life. Married four times, she tells of her determined search for true love, and also of her spiritual search, which led to peace of mind and a greater understanding of what it means to be human.
